Forest Increase Payments To Agents

In the period for 1st July - 31 December 07, fees paid to agents by Football League Clubs rose by 6.9M on the previous year. The fees paid out by Nottingham Forest rose from 6,000 in 2006 to 76,100 for the same period last year.

The report by the Football League is the first of two reports on the 07/08 season and covers the period of July to December. It comes as a result of League Clubs voting to decide on publicising the fees made back in 2003.

It shows that Forest made a total of 21 transactions that involved payment to an agent. The report also shows that the club made 14 new registrations or transfers and made three loan deals.

The 76,100 paid by Forest was small beer compared with that of Lucky Leeds who spent 173,000, the highest of any club in League 1. Forest were the fourth highest in the division. The total divisional spending for the period was 1,039,484.
