Teddy To Hang Up His Boots

Former Reds striker Teddy Sheringham is set to end his 26 year football career at the end of this season.

Sheringham signed for Forest from Millwall back in 1991 by Brian Clough for £2M. He made 42 appearances for us, scoring 14 goals. He was sold a season later to Spurs for £2.1M, the club he supported as a kid.

He scored the first ever Premiership goal for Forest against Liverpool, but was sold a week later. Many fans blame the failure to replace him for the relegation that season.

His career took him to Man Utd, where he won countless trophies and is presently with Championship side Colchester. At 42 years of age, he's entitled to hang up his boots. He was a cracking player for us and all the clubs he played for.
