'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Get Behind The Lads!

Manager Colin Calderwood had a swipe at fans a few weeks ago, for not getting behind the team. He was right in respect to the City Ground having no atmosphere, even if it was down to the style of football being served up.

But tonight in front of a sellout crowd and also live on Sky TV, the fans and players alike can show what they are made of. It's imperative that supporters get behind the team and back them from the start. It's equally important for the players to give us something to shout about.

If we can show the passion we all have for the club in a positive way, it can only encourage those who have let us supporters down so badly in the past. So let's get behind them and encourage from the start. The City Ground used to be the best place on planet football when we were right behind the lads. If we can do it tonight against serious promotion candidates Carlisle, then it may be the turning point in the season and push us on to promotion. It has to be worth a go.

Calderwood is confident ahead of the game and has told the official site that he's in no mood to relinquish our fine home record, that has seen us lose only once against Lucky Leeds. He says he's 'up for it.' I hope we are too. It's going to be a tense one with the winner moving into an automatic promotion spot. Come on you Reds!
