Calderwood - Don't Panic

Colin Calderwood has seen his side slip from 2nd place in the League 1 table down to 4th in recent weeks and says there is no need for the players to panic.

He told the official site. 'There's added pressure on us because of the results at the weekend and that has added to the importance of the next game. We know we have to start taking wins to close the gap. What we have got to ensure is that we don't become anxious, if the game at Southend is level with half an hour or 20 mins to go.'

For Calderwood to start getting wins, he has to be more daring and adventurous with his tactics. For him to do that, he has to change his own mindset and send the team out with an attacking intent. The reason for the slide down the table and our failure to push on, is down to his 'must not lose' mentality.

He goes on to say in the article on the OS that, 'We can't afford to lose too many games and as long as we're picking up something from games the teams above us have to do likewise. Ideally we'll be picking up wins and putting them under pressure.' Sounds like we're playing for a draw again.
