Forest May Appeal Perch Red Card

Forest May Appeal Perch Red Card

James Perch was harshly sent off after 21 minutes in the 2-1 victory at Sixfields last night in a game ruined by Premiership referee Rob Styles.

Forest manager Colin Calderwood will take a look at the match video before making a decision on whether to appeal or not.

He told the official site. 'It was a contentious decision to send James off, it was a clean tackle and he hit the ball fairly. If there is an injustice then we will appeal.'

Perch himself was injured in the challenge and left the ground on crutches. It wasn't the only decision that Styles got wrong on the night, in a below par performance from the ref. The penalty won by Forest that sealed the points, looked ominous to say the least. Despite the efforts of Stlyes, Forest came away with the points to keep alive there slim hopes of automatic promotion.
