Keeper Out Before He's Kicked A Ball

Things are going from bad to worse for Forest, both on the field and off it. The injury situation at the club this season, seems to be turning into a comedy of errors with the players seemingly dropping like flies.

The latest injury to new loan signing Dimitrios Konstantopoulos is almost farcical. The keeper only signed from Coventry on bloody Tuesday and by Thursday he has an Achilles tendon injury, that will no doubt see him return to the Sky Blues.

This follows on from former loan signing Will Hoskins, who had to return to Watford after picking up a mysterious back injury after only being here for a fortnight. You really couldn't make it up.

At the point of writing this, Forest have made no efforts to strengthen the squad on deadline day. Once again they seem content to try and get promotion on a wing and a prayer, having not learned from previous mistakes. Of course they will be telling us how hard they tried to recruit players and that we have enough strength in depth, but to be blunt it simply isn't good enough on their part. Once again it looks as though the fans have been shafted.

The one saving grace is that the Reds can make an emergency loan signing as regards the keeper situation, but it's more likely that they will recall rookie Dale Roberts from his loan spell at Rushden.
