'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Play-offs Not The End Of The World

Nathan Tyson is aware of the pressure the manager is under and also of the concerns of supporters, but hew says we need to get behind the lads and maintain a positive attitude.

Speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post ahead of tonight's game at Brunton Park, he said. 'The play-offs would not be the end of the world. The last thing we want is to go into the play-offs with a negative mood about the place. I know I am positive about the position we are in, because we could be fighting it out at the other end of the table.'

We know damn well that if we were fighting things out at the other end of the table, Mr Tyson and the like would have probably been running out the City Ground door at Christmas for pastures new. It's high time the players and management of this club started showing the same passion for the shirt that the fans have.

He is positive himself and wants to rectify the fact that we haven't scored a single goal against any of the top 3 sides in the division. 'We need to prove that we are better than we were at Doncaster. But if we can go to Carlisle and get a result, it might make people take a look at us again. We also have that record against the top sides which we need to put right, which we can do tonight.'

Tyson and Forest need to start scoring and they need to start tonight. They face a Carlisle side high in confidence and who have not lost at home in 14 games. It's time for him and his team mates to start doing their talking on the pitch. The last play-off experience for the fans did indeed feel like the end of the world. At least let's hit the ground running and go into them with some decent form behind us. With only 6 games left after tonight, now would be a goods time.
