'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McCleary Is Your Vital Forest MOTM

It was his first start in a Forest shirt and Garath McCleary didn't disappoint. 52% of the votes went to the newbie, followed by Agogo with 35%. He followed up a fine performance in midweek at Carlisle with another one against Cheltenham at the City ground on Saturday.

He was signed from non league Bromley for a rumoured 20,000 in January and has been quick to make an impact.

He got his first goal for the Reds in the 2-0 win at Carlisle and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet against the Robins. He had a header come off the bar, that led to Luke Chambers scoring and he had another go just over.

He's a pacy fella with a good cross on him and decent skills on the ball. It's early days for him and if he can keep his feet on the ground and stick to what he's good at, he will quickly become a hit on the terraces. Well done Garath.
