'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Now 4 Something Completely Different

This years playoff campaign will be Colin Calderwoods' 4th attempt to reach Wembley via the lottery route and he thinks that a different approach might be needed to get there.

He told the Nottingham Evening Post. 'I will use the experience I have had in the play-offs as a manager. This will be my fourth time in the play-offs and it might be time to do something different. We have spoken about it already and we might look at having a different routine, certainly different to what we had last time.'

Whilst he believes that he had the squad mentally and physically prepared right last time, he can't deny that the end result was a spectacular failure. A change in routine could have many benefits and anything that sees a positive result at the end of it, will be welcomed by the fans.

Calderwood says they are already planning for the playoffs and discussing the possibilities. It's also good to hear him thinking ahead and that he has hopefully learned from mistakes, when he says. 'I can't do the same thing and end up getting beaten because I would be cursing all summer. So we will look at doing something different and see where it takes us.'

So a little jolly up for the lads before the heart attack season is upon us looks likely. If I remember rightly, a former manager of ours would regularly take the side away for a bit of bonding and team building before a big game. I say go for it Mr. C.
