Why I fancy our chances for Automatic Promotion.
There`s going to be a lot of psychology about these closing games and players nerves will be on edge. Nothing will be easy but I reckon we`ve got the best of it.
Our last two games: Hartlepool`s season has ended with them floating around in mid-table. There`s nothing at stake for them and but there`s plenty of motivation for us. We`ve won 3 out of our last 4 away games so our confidence should be high enough to secure three points. Our last game is of course Yeovil at home. With all the history, if we don't win that one there will be a riot at CG and CC and his players will find themselves swimming in the Trent in concrete boots.
Doncaster`s last two games: Luton at home should give them 3 points leaving them needing to win at Cheltenham. If, as seems likely, Cheltenham are fighting for their survival in the league, they will give Doncaster a really difficult afternoon - maybe the chance of a draw but not the full three points they need. Odds against.
Carlisle`s last two games: their last match is Bournemouth at home bringing a probable three points. However before that Carlisle have to face Millwall at the Den. The lions are another team scrapping for their lives in league one and that will make this a very hostile encounter. If Carlisle are to get the draw they need, they`ll have to do it the hard way. Odds about even but the key game in my opinion.
What Forest need is to show self-believe and fighting qualities. We haven`t seen much of these this season but, with his job on the line, maybe CC will finally prove he has some motivational ability. As long as we keep on winning, it`ll go right to the wire.
