Vital Weekend Ahead For League 1 Teams

Whilst nothing can be decided this week at the top of the table, it will still be a massive weekend with all the teams keeping an eye on how the others have done.

Champions Swansea have been cheated out of parading the League 1 Trophy tomorrow, after the appeal by Lucky Leeds over their points deduction means they may not actually finish as League winners if the result finds in Leeds' favour. They face Orient at the Liberty in their final home game of the season.

Second in the table Carlisle, who sit just 3 points ahead of the Reds have a tough game away at Millwall. The Lions are our best chance of an upset this week as they still need points for survival at the bottom. It would be nice to think former Red Neil Harris paid us back with a goal against the Cumbrians, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Donny in 3rd have relegated Luton at home and you have to say this looks like 3 points in the bag for Rovers, if Luton play as bad as they did last week against us. Lucky Leeds have the long trek to Yeovil tonight and can cement their place in the Playoffs with a win at Huish Park. Come on you Glovers!

Down at the basement, Bournemouth will be relegated if Cheltenham beat Oldham away. The Cherries are making a real fist of it at the moment, having won the last 5 games on the bounce. Survival for them would be as surprising as automatic promotion for us.

Gillingham who hold the last relegation spot are at home to Swindon, they need victory as well, but could take it to the final day with a victory regardless of results elsewhere.

All being well, Carlisle and Donny will make it easy for us and drop points, as so all we have to do is win our last game. But that 'aint gonna happen. Something tells me that we're all set for a heart stopping, buttock clenching last day to the season.
