Could Commons Turn Judas And Join Rams?

When we failed to win promotion last season it was widely believed that prize asset Kris Commons would be sold in an effort to reduce the wage bill. Surprisingly to some, he decided to sign up for another year and help us into the Championship. Now though, he's rumoured to be on his way to the Rams of all places on a free transfer.

There's no doubting that Kris Commons has the talent to succeed at a higher level and few would blame him for moving on, but a deal that would see him joining our fiercest rivals down the road in Sheepville would be somewhat hard to swallow.

Commons has said on many occasions that he's a Red through and through, so a move to the Sheep would seem strange at best. Opinion on our highly rated midfielder/striker is divided. Some say lazy and inconsistent, whilst others say match winner and goalscorer. Whatever camp you fall into, a move to our fiercest rivals is one that would be hard to stomach, especially as we are going to be playing each other in the coming season.

According to this article inThe Sun we're doing battle with the Rams to try and keep him and the sweetener in the deal for us, could be the signature of Robert Earnshaw.

So far it's only paper talk, but it's a story that's gathering pace and credibility, but then all rumours do that the longer they go on. This is only the start of what promises to be a long summer of transfer news, gossip and speculation. Should he stay, or should he go? You decide. Have your say on the forum today.

Local Lad, Forest fan, why move to Derby - same League etc? CC has said that they will do everything they can to get Commo & Clingan to stay - hope they do!

Agreed on that my friend. Only thing that will see him leave for Prideless Park is money. If that's the case, then good riddance. Don't think it will happen though.
