Cobblers Want £1M For Bunn

According to Northampton Town Chairman David Cardoza, the Reds have made six bids in the past to try and prize keeper Mark Bunn from the Cobblers, but he says if we want him, then we will have to meet his valuation of £1M.

Forest last had a bid for Bunn rejected back in January, although Cardoza says we came close to his asking price. He told Sky Sports News. 'I haven't heard anything from Colin yet since the end of the season but I wouldn't be surprised. He is a terrific player and we have a certain value for him which will break the club record and we won't be budging from that. It would be fair to say that the figure could break £1million after add-ons. We are not in the market to sell him but if the right offer comes in we'll discuss it.'

Bunn is undoubtebly a decent keeper, but a million for a League 1 shot stopper is a bit steep in my opinion. There's also no doubting that CC is a big admirer of the player and has made several attempts to sign him. It doesn't sound as though we will get him cheap though, so a hefty fee will be required to prize him away from the Cobblers.

I'd imagine Bunn would fancy the move up, so it's not entirely down to this greedy Chairman. We still won't get him on the cheap.
God Almighty
£1mill for him. About right I'd say
