It's been a busy day at the City Ground with the departures of no less than 3 players, but according to the official site the club have offered new deals to Tyson and Clingan.
Sammy Clingan was an integral part of the team last season and will be confident of making the step up to the Championship, having played there with Wolves. His contract is up this summer, but the good news is the club have a new one for him to sign. Hopefully he will.
Tyson also has a new deal waiting to be signed and he has gone on record recently saying he wants to stay. Although he missed a large part of the last campaign, he will be seen as an asset in the Championship. If the signing of Robert Earnshaw comes off, then that could prove an interesting partnership.
This has been welcome news on a day that sees Commons leave (probably for the Sheep), as well as Felix Bastians and Alan Power. We could do with a couple of signings sharpish, just to lift the mood.
