Commons Signs For The Sheep

Kris Commons has made the move we hoped he wouldn't and signed for arch rivals Derby County. He's the first player to be given the 'Judas' tag since Gary Charles made the trek down the A52 in 1993.

Commons was released by the club last week after he informed them of his intentions to leave. It was hoped that following our promotion to the Championship he'd sign a new contract with us, be he decided against that and instead has joined the Rams.

According to Sky Sports News, he's signed a three year deal with the club. Rumours suggest he will be on £10k per week at Prideless Park.

Commons is 24 and joined the Reds' from Stoke 4 years ago for just £300,000. In just over 140 appearances he scored 32 goals. He's undoubtebly a great talent, but this move will have lost him many friends in Nottingham. As hard as I try I can't wish him well, but thanks for some good memories nonetheless.

Awesome signing for Derby that.

Until it's on the Sheep website, it's still just conjecture. If it happens, he's all the names you want to call him, but if it had, you can bet your bottom dollar that the smug *****s on the official Direby site would be crowing about it already.

It's a done deal I'm afraid. Time to move on and sign a player that can actually stay fit for a season.
