'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Who Is Robert Earnshaw?

Robert Earnshaw is 27 years of age and was born in Zambia in 1981. He he moved with his family to Wales in 1990 following the death of his father.

In 1997 his footballing career began at Cardiff, where he bagged over 85 goals in 178 appearances. Following 7 successful years at the Bluebirds he was snapped up by West Brom. He scored 12 goals in the Premiership with the West Midlanders, before moving on to Norwich.

His 27 goals for the Canaries in 45 appearances was enough to make former Sheep boss Billy Davies shell out £3.5M on the hot shot striker, but his career stuttered at Prideless Park. He only managed 1 goal in 22 games for the Rams and it was the first time in his career that he'd struggled for goals.

He's also a Welsh international and has an impressive 13 from 39 starts for the national side. If he can show the form he had before the Sheep ruined him, then we have a veritable goal machine on our hands.

You can find out more about Earnie at his Wikipedia page.
