'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Earnshaw - Impressed By Forest Ambition

Last week former Ram Robert Earnshaw, signed for the Reds' in a £2.65M deal. But he was paraded before the media today at the City Ground for the first time and unveiled as a Forest player.

Speaking to BBC Radio Nottingham, Earnshaw said. 'I wanted to know where the club's going and what the ambition is and I got a good feeling after talking to the manager. The whole package and ambition of the club impressed me. I'm excited about this place. They want to get to the Premier League. They have good players already and they want to get more.

Earnshaw felt that his face didn't fit in at Prideless Park and says he now wants to prove he can still do a job and looks forward to doing it with the Reds'.

'It's a huge club and I wanted to be a part of where this club is going. I'm looking to play, score goals and enjoy my football - that's all I want to do.'

If he recaptures the form that he's renowned for, then his signing will turn out to have been another astute buy from Calderwood.
