'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nottingham Forest Sunday Transfer Gossip

Out of favour Sheffield United midfielder Lee Hendrie, is the latest name being linked with a move to the City Ground this summer (according to The Sunday People).

The former Aston Villa and Stoke man has failed to make an impression at Bramall Lane since they landed him on a free last season. He finished the last campaign at relegated Leicester and was none too kind to the Blunts in what he had to say about them.

Kevin Blackwell has stated that he still has a future at United, but Hendrie has shown no desire to go back and has gone on record as saying he'd prefer a permanent move away.

Hendrie is no stranger to trouble and has had a driving ban due to being over the limit and the tabloids just love him because of his sexploits with former Big Brother celeb Jade Goody. Although the fella has talent, it seems he rarely shows it and is one best avoided in my opinion.

Another little tit bit from this mornings tabloids is the news that Ipswich are trying to gazump us on the signing of Leon Best from Coventry. Their bid for Newcastle's Shola Ameobi looks to have failed and it's said they might turn to Best as an alternative.

I think Lee Hendrie would be a good signing. He's worked hard over the last few seasons and had a good spell with Stoke.

Doesn't seem to fit the profile of Forest's recent signings - so, probably not that likely!
