Sammy Is Norwich-Bound

Forest Midfielder Sammy Clingan today agreed to leave Forest in favour of a move to East Anglia and Norwich City, as confirmed today on the Official Site.

Clingan's contract at the City Ground had expired and although he had been offered a new deal, Norwich seemed the more attractive option for the Northern Ireland international.

Clingan played 92 league and cup games for the Reds, scoring one goal - against Crewe in the 2-0 home win back in November.

Sammy played an important part in Forest's promotion last season, and it is difficult to deny he will be a significant loss. This announcement will not be received well by the Forest faithful, and it remains to be seen how the club plan to replace him.

It won't be well recieved at all. He is one of the very few that can escape blame from the club's failings in recent years. He will need to be replaced with quality.
God Almighty
Not much good news coming out of the city ground & perhaps a policies should be reviewed!
Our Kids Dad
We wish him well - he was our most consistant player last year. We need to hear something soon from CC on signings, or the seeds of discontent will have set in before we have even started.
Old Big 'Ed
Thats a big loss losing anothe influential midfielder after already losing Commons.
