Holt Looks Set For Shrewsbury Move

Various sources are saying that Forest and Shrewsbury Town have agreed a fee for striker Grant Holt.

Holt is said to be discussing personal terms with the League 2 side and is set to be the 10th player to exit the City Ground this summer.

He struggled to get a regular place last season and spent the last two months at Blackpool on loan. In 97 appearances he bagged 21 goals for the Reds'.

Although he was out of favour with the fans as well as the manager last season, he was rarely played as a striker and was usually deployed on the wing. A move will probably do him good, as he and the manager did not see eye to eye.

Good luck Grolty - worth £5 on L2 top scorer next year!

Good luck to Grant Holt, an old fashioned type of striker, they don't make many like that anymore............. Thank God!

Yeah, good luck to him. Did his best I suppose. Although sticking one on the gaffer was never going to get him a regular spot in the side.
God Almighty
Will Shrewsbury be able to afford his wage demands. I am guessing he will have to take quite a hefty pay cut which may hinder the move.

League Two is probably about his level. He certainly isn't good enough for the Championship.
