Three Years Of Hurt But Fans Stay Loyal To Forest

Three Years Of Hurt But Fans Stay Loyal To Forest

For much of the 2006/7 season the supporters of Nottingham Forest came in for some heavy criticism for slating the team and it's apparent lack of success.

Despite the criticisms, fans have remained loyal to the team and have turned out in numbers to show their backing. According to the latest figures from the Football League, Forest had the second highest average attendance for home games in the division.

The average attendance at the City Ground last season was a very credible 19,955, second only to Leeds United who had an average of 26,546. Those figures are quite remarkable considering it's been three years since we played at a higher level.

Supporters were slated on many fronts last season for criticising the club, but the figures show that we've stuck with the club through some very lean times.

They are vey good looking figures considering you were in League 1 for those years. It's great to have you back though, I have to say. Looking forward to my trip up to the City ground - its already pencilled in... can't wait.

You have done well to stick by your club over the last three years. I still can't believe how you turned round your season after you performance at Donny at the end of March.
