Latest Rumours - Cole & Best To Make Forest Moves

The rumour mill is back in full swing after seemingly grinding to a frustrating halt recently. The latest news doing the rounds, is that Forest are set to make a double swoop for Andrew (you mustn't call him Andy) Cole and Leon Best.

The Sunday People, says that Cole is 'coming home' and wants to end his playing days at his hometown club. At 36 years of age, it will have supporters asking if he has the hunger for a Championship dogfight. There's no doubting his experience and pedigree. He remains the Premiership's second top goal scorer and has a goals to game ratio only bettered by Alan Shearer. According to the report, he could be wearing the Garibaldi by the end of the week.

The Leon Best saga has reared up again, thanks to this piece on Sky Sports News. If we go in for the Coventry striker again, it will be the fourth time we've tried to land him. Ten out of ten for perseverance, I suppose. If we are successful in signing Best, the bidding stopped at around £1.5M last time, so a fee in excess of that would be needed to bring him home to the City Ground.

They are decent players, and I think for you, Andy Cole would make good captaincy material.

You shouldn't be short of centre forwards next season.
