Joe Garner Linked With Forest Move

According to BBC Radio Nottingham, Forest would neither confirm or deny claims that Carlisle striker Joe Garner was set to sign for the Reds' this week.

Various sources are saying he will join Forest for a fee of £500,000. The 20 year old bagged 14 goals in 30 starts for the Cumbrians, before sustaining a serious knee injury in February.

That injury was supposed to sideline Garner until January at least, so a move for him seems strange, unless the damage is not as bad as first thought.

Garner only signed for Carlisle last summer from Blackburn and was fast becoming a League 1 hotshot before his injury. He's well worth the fee, but only if he's fit. No doubt Forest will do their homework and have him checked out thoroughly.

500k is a snip. So long as he's over the injury...sign him up.

Well if his injury is alright then it seems like a very good signing.

Carlsile look in turmoil at the moment, I am sure you can get him for less.
