'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Forest Linked With Rams Midfielder

According to The Sunday People, Forest are set to swoop for Derby County midfielder Stephen Pearson. He's the guy that got the winning goal that sent them back to the Premiership in the Playoff Final against West Brom.

Pearson spent the end of last season having a much more successful time than his other Ram team mates, as he was helping Stoke gain promotion to the Prem during a loan spell. Seems he's quite good at getting teams promoted.

He only joined the Rams in January 07 from Celtic, in a 750,000 deal. He had a decent spell under former Red Martin O'Neill, scoring 6 goals in 56 appearances in a 3 year spell. His time at Prideless Park has been less fruitful though, then again it was for most of that shambolic team.

Pearson is 25 years old and has the experience of Champions League football behind him. Despite his Sheep connections, he wouldn't be a bad signing and would be available at a reasonable price.

Sounds a good move to me, if it comes off.

That would really get under the skin of your near neighbours if you was to take another one of their players.
