It's All Going According To Plan - Calderwood

Forest will kick their first ball in anger on Friday night, when they take on Offenbach Kickers in the first friendly of the pre season.

Calderwood and the boys are hard at it at their training camp near Cologne in Germany. CC has the lads on thrice daily training sessions to get rid of the summer excess built up by the players and it comes to a head on Friday when they play their first competitive game since the season ended.

By this stage of the pre season build up most teams will have a game under their belts already, but CC says the Physios have deliberately arranged it so as they have been making the most of getting the lads fitter.

CC told the official site that he was happy with the way preparations were going and that everything was going according to plan. Although the game with Offenbach on Friday is their first, the lads will follow it up with 4 games in an 8 day period. It's good to hear the positive vibes coming from the camp, but then again we shouldn't expect anything else. There was one piece of disappointing news, in that defender Julian Bennett has been ruled out with a 'slight' hamstring injury.
