Tractor Boys End Interest In Tyson
According to bristolcity.net, the Robins have decided not to pursue their interest in Forest striker Nathan Tyson.
City are believed to have had a cheeky bid of £750,000 rejected by the Reds' and rightly so, but don't feel he's worth the £1M+ that Forest were holding out for.
Tyson still has a year left to run on his current contract and last month refused to sign an improved deal. Since then speculation of him moving away from the City Ground has been rife. Norwich were also said to be interested in him, but that seems to have gone quiet of late.
Tyson has been ravaged with injury since his move from Wycombe in 2006, but he's a crowd favourite and has bagged 26 goals in just over 80 appearances for the club.
Fair play to Forest for not allowing him to go on the cheap though, as anything less than £1M would have been seen as a giveaway by the fans. Maybe now he'll put his signature on that new contract.
