Youthful Forest Win At Telford

This was the third warm up game for the Reds', as they prepare for life back in the Championship and the third win. The 4-1 victory at Telford follows on from wins at Kickers Offenbach (2-1) and Burton Albion (3-1).

It was a mainly youthful side that CC put out for this match, as he continues to give everyone a game. Dale Roberts replaced the rested Paul Smith in goal, with Reid, Whitehurst, Sharpe and Bencherif, all getting a decent run out.

Matt Thornhill opened the scoring and the Reds' were leading 3-0 at the break, with goals from McLeary, who continues to impress and Adam Newbold.

Although the home side pulled a goal back after the break, Emile Sinclair made it 4-1 to Forest and with it victory number three.

The acid test will come on Friday, when home fans get to see the side for the first time since the last campaign finished. Everton will visit the City Ground and will provide much stiffer opposition than the lads have faced so far in pre season.
