New Deal For Smudger

Paul Smith has been an everpresent between the sticks for the Reds', since his arrival from Southampton in 2006. Today he signed a new two year deal, to secure his immediate future at the City Ground.

Smith won the Golden Glove award for League 1 last season for his efforts in goal. He kept a total of 25 clean sheets and helped us win promotion to the Championship.

Speaking to the official site Smith said. 'I'm really looking forward to playing for the club in the Championship and had no hesitation in agreeing a new contract.' The 28 year old has made over 100 appearances for the Reds to date.
