Cole Out For Reading Game

Cole Out For Reading Game

New signing Andrew Cole will miss the opening game of the season at the City Ground on Sunday, after failing to recover from a calf strain.

Cole picked up the injury in pre season and missed the last two friendly games. It was hoped he'd be fit for the seasons' curtain raiser against Reading, but he now joins a growing list of injured players at the club.

Garner, Anderson and Tyson will also miss out, which leaves Calderwood with one fit striker in Robert Earnshaw to pick for the game. According to some sources winger Garath McLeary could also be missing from action, which will also add to CC's troubles.
