Calderwood Ready For New Season To Start

Forest boss Colin Calderwood can't wait for the season to start and says the team is ready and well prepared for the challenge ahead.

Calderwood told the official site. 'I'm looking forward to it as much as any other season and perhaps a little bit more because it's certainly newer, bigger and different opposition to what we have experienced in the last couple of years.'

The opposition will certainly be 'different' and CC will find that out as early as tomorrow, when he pits his wits against Steve Coppell and his Reading side. Leroy Lita for one will be a class above what the likes Bennett and Wilson have had to contend with in previous seasons'.

CC knows it's important to get off to a good start and says the lads are ready. 'We've got to get a result out of Sundays' game. It's not party time or a time for razzmatazz-celebration time has gone long ago and the players realised that as soon as they reported back, because preseason training didn't become easier because we got promotion.'
