'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Tribute To Brian Clough

Former Forest stars and European Cup winning team mates John McGovern, Kenny Burns were joined by League Cup winning Nigel Jemson at a football forum at The Robin Hood Suite of the City Ground to help raise money for a fitting tribute to Forest legend Brian Clough. Blimey, as Paris Hilton might say, that was a mouthful!

The aim is to raise money for a £60,000 statue of Clough to be erected in Nottingham's city centre. Around £17,000 has already been raised.

Fund Chairman Paul Ellis explained yesterday: 'The event is planned as a celebration of all that Brian Clough achieved and the glory he brought to Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.'

Journalist John Lawson who worked with Clough during his 18 year reign at The City Ground also attended the event which was hosted by Trent FM Presenter Mark Dennison.
