Will Forest Renew Interest In Watson?

News today from the Crystal Palace OS, is that they have circulated the names of players available for transfer.

On the list is Forest target Ben Watson, who looked like he was set to sign for the Reds' earlier this month. It's thought the clubs had agreed a fee, but the deal hit the rocks over the amount that Forest would pay up front.

It was rumoured that midfielder Watson would join in a £2.5m deal. Forest supposedly only wanted to pay so much of that and wanted any add ons paid at a later date, but Palace Chairman Simon Jordan supposedly wanted all the monies up front.

QPR and Birmingham were also chasing Watson, with Rangers the players preferred choice. It's understood that Jordan won't do business with Dowie at QPR, because of their past history with each other.

With Palace announcing the availability of these players, it could stir up interest from other clubs and even start a bidding war. Whether Forest will renew their interest and whether it brings others into the ring remains to be seen. But with only 13 days left, they'd better get a wriggle on.

He will move on from Selhurst Park and I'd love it to be the CG. Let's hope we pesrue it further and snap him up before every man and his dog gets to know he's available. Not that they don't already.
