Forest Deny Move For Wayne Brown

There can be no denying that Forest are in desperate need of at least two defenders to bolster the leakiest defence in the Championship, but the club seem to be in no rush to bring in any replacements.

They have rubbished the latest claims on the rumour mill, that Hull City's Wayne Brown was set to come in on loan. According to the Hull Daily Mail, Forest Chief Executive Mark Arthur has said. 'I don't know where these rumours have come from. We have no interest in him.'

Mark Arthur and NFFC should take note of what is being said on the message boards, regarding the defence and it's inability to stop the ball hitting the back of our own net more often than we're hitting the op-positions. It appears as so the club is content to try and ride things out until January at least, but by then the damage could be irreparable. Surely it would be wiser to make the additions now?

Wayne Brown would have been a decent signing. At 31, he's experienced and was an ever present in the promotion winning side last year. He may be out of favour now, but he could certainly bring some much needed stability to our backline. There's not exactly a glut of quality defenders available at present, but Wayne Brown is one of them and we look to have missed out.

Expect him arriving at the CG by noon then? Behind closed doors friendly today, wonder if any trialists involved!?

In Brown you couldn't get any more Danny Cullip - the guy is a meat head but has a footballing brain as well so would be a good loan capture. Clearly he's not good enough for the Premier League though...surely if Brown is a target then Ryan Shawcross at Stoke has also got to be on the shortlist?
