'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Seagull Has Landed

Forest have signed Brighton and Hove Albion defender Joel Lynch on a month long loan deal, in an effort to shore up what is officially the leakiest defence in the Championship.

Joel is 21 and so far this season has been limited to just one start and two substitute appearances for the Seagulls. This is partly down to the fact that he handed in a transfer request to the club back in August and he's found himself frozen out of manager Micky Adams' plans.

Colin Calderwood told the BBC. 'He's a player I've looked at in the past, and this gives us an opportunity to have a look at him for a month.'

His player profile describes him as predominantly a central defender, but he has played left back. A centre half would come in handy, but a right back would have been good as well. Maybe the latter will be arriving also, you never know.

At least they are making defensive signings, which clearly indicates that they have the same concerns as us fans!
