'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cloughie In European Hall Of Fame

The former Forest manager and City Ground legend, Brian Clough has been named in the National Football Museum's European Hall of Fame.

In recognition of his winning back to back European Cups, he's been entered into the Hall of Fame. His Son and former Red Nigel, picked up the award at a ceremony on Wednesday that was held in Liverpool.

Nigel told BBC Radio Nottingham. 'He would have been extremely proud. When you look back it is a staggering achievement and I'm sure a lot of Forest fans at the time thought he was going to go on for years and years.'

Old Big 'Head is in good company and shares his place with the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Robson, Sir Matt Busby and Bob Paisley. Speaking of his Father Nigel said. 'I think he would have loved to have been here with so many people whom he had an immense amount of respect for in his business.' Nice one Sir Brian.

Got an autobiography signed by him - what a legend, a word that is used all too flippently in my opinion.
