'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's Crystal Palace- Take Two

Most Forest fans will have their thoughts firmly on Sunday's game with the Mutton Molesters, but before that there's the not so insignificant game with the Eagles to contend with.

Neil Warnock was in the press following our last meeting, pledging his undying love for all things Tricky and why wouldn't he? Every time his teams face us, he gets the points. Three weeks ago at the City Ground he carried out a smash and grab to walk away with all three points, after a 2-0 win. Goals from Ifill and Kuqi won the game, but Forest played them off the park that day, in a game that was so typical of our season to date.

We managed to keep Wannabe QPR midfielder Ben Watson quiet that afternoon and we'll have to do the same again to have any hope of getting anything from the game. Current form says we'll get nothing, but surely our luck has to change soon? Palace are doing well (by our standards) and sit comfortably in 16th position. We of course are bottom and will be for some time, having a 6 point deficit to make up already.

Whilst we were busy annoying Dave Jones on Saturday, Palace were fighting for a hard fought point at Blackpool, in a 2-2 draw. The last game between us saw referee Richard Beeby have a right mare, falling for every conniving trick in the book from Warnocks men. This time round it's the turn of that man Andy D'Urso to be the villain of the peace. He can't possibly be as bad as what Beeby was.

The two sides have met a total of 41 times in the league, with Forest having won 18, drawn 11 and losing 12. To go for a Forest win in this one, would probably show up as irregular betting. So, for the first time this season I'm predicting defeat, in the hope it brings a change in fortunes. 1-0 to Palace.
