McLeish - Lucky To Get Away With A Point

Alex McLeish was thankful for the point his second placed Brum side picked up yesterday and feels the 1-1 draw at the City Ground was more than they deserved.

It's a refreshing change to hear a bit of honesty from a visiting manager, but it doesn't push us any further up the table.

McLeish told the Blues official site. 'We could have lost the game and in the end I'm grateful for a point. We didn't nearly create enough chances to score in the second half.'

Forest ended the game the stronger and indeed should have won the game. But it's the same old story for Forest, as they once again squandered a host of scoring opportunities. The signs are promissing for us at present, with the side playing well. But it's getting to the stage where we have to turn these decent performances into positive results.
