Calderwoood- Lovin' It At The Moment

Nottingham Forest sit second from bottom in the Championship table at the moment after winning only two games so far this season, but despite this, Colin Calderwood says he's happy.

Supporters might not be quite as happy as Mr. C is, but there are reasons for optimism in light of recent performances. If you hadn't witnessed the Reds' in action of late, you could be forgiven for thinking that Calderwood had lost the plot after comments made to BBC Radio Nottingham.

'I wouldn't want to change what we've got right now. Are we going into games in good heart, do we look as though we can win games, do we look as though we can score, the answer is yes to all those questions. I think we are bringing a bit of enjoyment to the supporters, I love the effort my team give.'

I can't say 'I'm enjoying' being amongst the basement boys, but I take his point as regards the effort being put in by the lads. The only problem with what he says, is that all the glowing compliments from opposing teams will count for nothing come the end of the season. Compliments don't get you points and that's what we need right now. The game with Norwich has become a very important game for us so early in the campaign. It's not often you get a six pointer in November, but that's what this game is with the Canaries sitting in 19th. A win against them on Saturday, really will signify that Forest are back and that we can be confident of survival at least.
