This was yet another 'must win game' for both Forest and Calderwood and once again both failed to deliver the necessary three points, as they battled for a point in the 0-0 draw at home to Blackpool.
The match stats showed that the Reds' had 15 attempts on goal and still failed to find the net. Nathan Tyson, for the second game in a row missed a sitter and Joe Garner could have had a brace. James Perch missed a golden opportunity to take the points and even defender Wes Morgan was denied twice by Rachubka in the Blackpool goal.
Calderwood told the official site. 'I'd rather we played like that and be pleased about the performance, rather than worry about team selection because they haven't performed. Mentally they are getting tougher and the situation is as tough as it gets for a team in the relegation zone. They are showing remarkable spirit.......' I stopped reading then, because it's just more of the same old, same old after a defeat. If you really want to know what he said, then follow the link.
Rachubka did have a decent game for the visitors, but it was woeful finishing that cost us. As said in the match report, we couldn't score in a brothel, or words to that effect. We could have still been playing now and we still wouldn't have scored. I really can't see us climbing out of trouble with CC in charge, but it's looking increasingly like the Chairman is going to stick with him until Christmas at least. Maybe longer if he's insane enough.
These are only my opinions of course and you're more than free to add your own. Just join in the madness on the forum and have your say. If you think the manager should stay, then say so. I find it rather surprising that when we're so perillously close to the drop, that so many are still sticking with him and are prepared to let him stay.
