Davies-Not Looking At Signings Yet

Biily Davies has told the Nottingham Evening Post, that he will not be rushed into bringing in new players.

Davies has said that he wants to assess what he has to work with first, before he dips into the transfer market. He said. 'We are not close to bringing players in at all, I have to say that I have not looked at bringing in any players,'

Well, wake up and smell the coffee Mr. Davies, because you're in for a big shock when you realise what little you do have.

It's only right that the current squad are given a clean slate, but you'd hope that he has been told of the lack of ability of certain players in the present Forest setup. I would also hope, that during his 13 month sabatical, that he's been keeping tabs on the football world and even earmarked a few potential signings himself. Just to help him out a wee bit. Chambers, Lynch and Wilson can't cut it in the Championship. We are in dire need of a new goalkeeper, left back, right back and centre half. We also need another striker to bolster our fragile frontline.

Unfortunately, if Billy Davies thinks he can get by on what he currently has at his disposal, then he's very much mistaken. He needs new blood and he needs it now!

Davies added. 'The last thing I will be doing, irrespective of the situation, is coming in and buying players for the sake of buying players. I am hoping to add to the squad between now and the end of January, but I am not in any rush to go and make quick signings and end up doing the wrong thing.'
