Portsmouth Target Earnshaw

According to the
Sport.co.uk website, Forest striker Robert Earnshaw is a £3M target for Prem boys Portsmouth.

Earlier this month, Nathan Tyson was linked with a move to them, but he put an end to those rumours by signing a new contract.

Earnie only signed in the summer, but his 9 goals are said to have alerted Pompey boss Tony Adams. Even for £3M Forest fans would be loathed to see him go. Whether the same could be said for boss Billy Davies is another thing, after their well publicised fallout when they were both at the Sheepdip.

Personally I think we should tell Adams to go sling his hook, unless of course he throws in a striker in return. Peter Crouch, plus £3M seems fair enough to me.

Kanu and £3m and it's a deal ! Seriously is he Premiership standard ? And what's this fall-out with Billy Davis all about?
Chix
No he is not Premiership standard. No thanks.
eastneydave
His record in the Prem isn't good, it has to be said. There is history between RE and the gaffer, but they've supposedly buried the hatchet. Not sure about Kanu, but we'll definitely take Diop off yer hands.
guinless
Soory mate, Diop is out for at least three months, we would not want to rip you off. Please Billy keep hold of Earnshaw
Owenspompey
You have got to be kidding. Earnshaw is nowhere near standard. If that is seen as a positive signing for Pompey then we really are in the brown stuff make no mistake. I would rate him and Kanu in the same league, as good for last resort cover, but not good enough to do more than step up in a crisis. Sorry but 500k is about all I would consider him worth. Lets face it. 9 goals in the championship against defences like scum? You have to be having a laugh
wakey
We don't mind taking Diop if he's crocked. We sign players like that all the time. Despite the credit crunch, we're not skint. The Chairman probably is, but the football club is fine and dandy.
guinless
nono, diops certainly not up for swaps. escpecialy considering the amount of midfield players we have left (midfield 5 against bristol: 1 centre forward, 2 centre backs, 1 left back, 1 "in the hole behind the striker". sorry :-). As for Earnshaw... sorry. I know it sounds pig headed, but I wouldn't look at it as a positive step for us.

We've just got rid of one dwarf, you're having a giraffe if we should interested in another. As for £3m value, he was never worth that at his best let alone now. you keep him to keep you up.
storagematt
As submitted to sport.co.uk by the same muppet who says McGugan is off to D*rby because Forest are "struggling financially".. Bull***** rating 9/10 imo..
Scaggeh
thanks but no thanks...

Keep Ernie, and good luck to you. I really hope he hits a real form trail, and scores the goals that see uyou safe and send scum down
wakey
i am sure this isjust his agent trying to drum up a move away from wee willie davies..he is no where near good enough. I dont know about telling our tony to sling his hook he is more likey to slip a disc laughing at this nonsense..we could have benjani back for £3m
plymouth graham
Dear God, say it ain't so!
Tantona

Our Kids Dad
