'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Davies - Not A Happy Wee Chappy

Unsurprisingly, Forest boss Billy Davies was 'disappointed' to put it mildly, with the 2-1 defeat at fellow strugglers Watford last night.

This latest defeat, puts us right back in the mire, as our fight for survival took yet another knock. In hindsight, this wasn't so much a knock, more like a swift kick to the down belows'.

Davies bemoaned his sides lack of fight and the fact that injuries have cost us once again. Talking to the BBC after the game he said. 'We knew the type of football they would play, we knew it would be a dogfight and we knew we would need to show character. There is a softness in this team that needs to be sorted out but it won't be done until next season in my opinion.'

I'm sure his words were a little more cursory that that back in the changing room, but what he meant once again, is that as usual with this lot, it was men against boys. Forest failed to show up for this game and we got what we deserved. The result leaves us just two points and two places above the drop zone. All the good work done in recent games against Reading, Preston and Swansea, now appears to have counted for nothing. Next up it's Burnley on Saturday. That'll be a doddle, eh!

After the last three results i thought you had turned the corner. Back to the drawing board and a dog fight.
