Forest Move For Toffee's Turner

Kasper Schmeichel and Mark Bunn were supposedly targets to fill the much maligned boots of Reds' keeper Paul Smith, but various sources are today reporting that Everton stopper Iain Turner is the man to do the job.

The 24 year old is rumoured to be putting the finishing touches to a deal that will see him come on loan until the end of the season.

Turner is a Scottish U21 international and has made 6 appearances for them. He's been with Everton since 2003, but has only a handful of first team starts. He spent part of last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, but has failed to make an impression at Goodison this term. Today could be the day he signs, but this is Nottingham Forest, so we'll have to wait and see if it actually happens.

UPDATE:. Now officially signed on loan until the end of the season. (Source. NFFC official site.)
