Tight Arsed Tykes Set To Fleece Forest Fans

Tight Arsed Tykes Set To Fleece Forest Fans

Forest fans travelling to Oakwell on April 4, for the game with Barnsley will be faced with the prospect of paying alot more than their hosts for the privilege of watching the game.

Barnsley are billing the game as 'a local promotion,' where home fans get in for a fiver. But, the travelling Forest faithful will be charged almost treble that and will be expected to pay £19!

The corresponding game at the City Ground back in November, was a Kids for a Quid game, where adults got in for a tenner and kids...a quid. NFFC extended this offer to the visiting Tykes, but as yet they are refusing to reciprocate, despite pleas from the City Ground to do so.

Forest have said they have even been in touch with the Football League, but apparently there is nothing they can do.... nothing new there then. It would have been a decent gesture on the tight arsed Tykes part to have extended the offer to Forest fans and may have gone some way to dispel the myth, that all Yorkshiremen are tight with their cash. Alas, that doesn't look like happening.

We had this recently at Notts County - quite a few of our fans became County fans for 90 minutes!

Well folks, it's not fair and it's a lot of money, but you should try the Premiership. Recently got tickets for Chelsea v ManCity for a mate's birthday, and they were £57 pounds each (that's nearly 3 times the cost of those Barnsley tickets), whilst the home fans in the same end pay £40. Time to start a campaign for fair ticket prices for away fans, whatever league or competition their teams are in i reckon!
