'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Agogo Walks Out On Egyptians

Junior Agogo left Forest last summer for sunnier climbs and greener grass, but his move to Egyptian club Zamalek, has been far from successful. Reports from Egypt today, state that the former Trickey has walked out on Zamalek and reported them to FIFA for breach of contract.

He was fined earlier this year by the club, with them saying he had repeatedly missed training. The former Red, made a big name for himself during the last years African Cup of Nations and attained hero status with his fellow countrymen, following his exploits for Ghana.

Since his move from Forest nine months ago, he's lost his international place and has fallen out of favour at Zamalek. He was accused at one stage, by the clubs management of being lazy.

Agogo told Ghanasoccernet.com. 'My lawyers have written to Zamalek abrogating my contract and we have duly reported the club to Fifa over this issue. I used all the channels available including the Egypt FA to try to solve the problem with the club they were not helpful. I have been not been treated with respect that should be accorded any human being and their actions have been well documented to Fifa. The days of unquestioning obedience to the Zamalek board are over and they will answer to Fifa on how they treated me.'

That looks to be the end of his career in Egypt, but it's anyone's guess where he'll end up next. He's a much travelled player and as well as his stint with us and Brizzle Rovers, he also spent time playing in the States. Wherever he ends up, it wont be dull with Junior around.
