Attitude And Courage Win The Day For Davies

Forest grabbed a dramatic last minute winner at home to Bristol City on Saturday and as well as giving themselves a lifeline in their battle for Championship survival, they earned the praises of boss Billy Davies.

Davies has rightly been a harsh critic of his underperforming side this season, but the 3-2 win over City and the manner in which it was achieved has earned the managers praise.

He told the official site. 'We've got fantastic young players that we're asking to play under immense pressure. They have shown they have an excellent attitude and outstanding courage to come back from goals down against a side chasing a play-off place. It was a fantastic show of courage.'

Dexter Blackstock's last minute winner epitomised a battling performance from the lads and even when going behind twice, they never let their heads drop. It was a hard fought win, that did show a spirit and determination that will hopefully stand us in good stead in these last few games.
