Lynch Linked With Permanent City Ground Move

Various sources are today reporting what has been widely said for several weeks, in that Forest are negotiating a permanent deal for Brighton defender Joel Lynch.

The 21 year old was initially signed in September by Colin Calderwood on a month long loan deal, but that was extended until the end of the current season.

It has to be said that his first appearances in the Garibaldi were far from inspiring and he did come in for some severe criticism from the fans. But, in recent weeks under Billy Davies he has shown that he might have what it takes. I'd like to see him finish the season well before doing any deal myself and if he does, then he'd be certainly worth thinking about.

To be fair - he has been played out of position at LB since he arrived - he has improved - But I'd be interested to see how he'd do at CB!
