'If It's Football, It's Vital'

COME ON YOU REDS'!

With only three games to play and two of them at home, Forest boss Billy Davies has called on Forest fans to play their part in helping the club stave off relegation.

Davies told the Evening Post. 'We had a real rough ride at Bramall Lane and, while it is getting much, much better at the City Ground, we are not quite there yet. Over the last couple of games the positive vibes from the fans have been first class. They have helped us, without doubt. But we have to get that intimidation that there is at Bramall Lane here at the City Ground. We need that in place next season and before.'

In our defence, we have been subjected to ten years of dross on the pitch, but he does have a point. The away support we get is as boisterous and vociferous as any club in football, but at home things are a little dour to say the least. Part of that can no doubt be blamed on our over zealous stewards and part of that has to be the apathy of the fans.

Whatever the reasons for that lack of atmospherre at the City Ground, Davies is right in what he says. This is now the time for fans to play their part and help the lads over the final hurdle. None of us want League 1 football next year and we can play our part. There's two games left at home to save our sorry arses. It's time to sing your hearts out for the lads. Come on you Reds'!
