Davies To Get £20m To Spend!

Davies To Get £20m To Spend!

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Forest boss Billy Davies, is to get a war chest of £20m to strengthen the squad over the summer.

Despite the fact that Chairman, benefactor and holder of the purse strings, Nigel Doughty has been hit hard during the credit crunch, the paper says he's going to dig deep in an effort to get the club to the Prem. It states that Man City striker Ched Evans and QPR keeper Lee Camp will be brought in, both of these have been linked with us already.

There's no doubting that we need to spend and spend a substantial amount, but will it be as much as £20M? Given Doughty's past history with transfer funds, you'd have to say not. But maybe he has a little more faith in Davies to spend the money more wisely than his predecessors. Here's hoping.
