Forest Battle Rams For Blackpool Defender
Sky Sports News are reporting that Forest and Derby are bidding for Blackpool defender Shaun Barker. But the Sheep are reportedly skint and are rumoured to be offloading players this summer, rather than setting players on.
Barker has been playing the role of Right Back for the Seasiders, but is also comfortable at Centre Half. He signed from Rotherham on a free two years ago and is out of contract this summer.
He's highly thought of and at 6ft, 2in and 26 years of age, he'd be a welcome addition to our squad. Plus, he's a local Trickie from Trowell. Sign him up then! Defence has been a major cause for concern for us this season and unlike Calderwood before him, Davies clearly sees it as an area that needs strengthening.
The season hasn't even finished yet, but already the Reds' are being linked with a host of players. It looks like being a busy summer in the transfer market, at least as far as the rumourmill is concerned.
